Giving young people a voice
In a time when democracy is increasingly under pressure, we must take action – and we believe in the power of young people. That’s why Altitude Foundation, together with Swedbank’s Ownership Foundation Skåne and Sparbanken Skåne, is launching our biggest and most important initiative to date: Democracy Ambassadors.
It’s about giving young people:
• The tools to take their place in society
• The knowledge to make their voices heard
• The courage to create change – together
At the same time, the project sparks important conversations about:
• Equality
• Racism
• Discrimination
• Accessibility
… and shows what democratic practice really looks like – in schools, during free time, in community life, and in everyday situations.
Want to get involved?
Through a “train the trainers” model, we empower young leaders who, in turn, strengthen and inspire their peers.
We’re starting in around ten municipalities in Skåne – including Malmö, Bjuv, Svedala, Trelleborg, Vellinge, and Helsingborg – with the goal of quickly expanding across the region.
